A Dreamy NFL x Eras Tour Crossover Game-day

Another week, another Taylor sighting at the Chiefs' game! After leaving us waiting the last two weekends, the singer made what is likely one of her last appearances at Arrowhead in a while before she heads back on tour. However, this match was incredibly special because she wasn't the only Eras performer in attendance. As fate might have it, the Chiefs were playing the Saints, whose roster includes Khalen Saunders, brother of Taylor's beloved show-stealing dancer Kam Saunders.

Continuing to contribute to the invisible string connections between Taylor and Travis, Taylor's link to Kam goes beyond sharing the spotlight on stage. Khalen is a defensive tackle for the New Orleans Saints, but he was drafted in 2019 by the Kansas City Chiefs. During his first season, the team won the Super Bowl, a momentous occasion he shared with Travis, Taylor's boyfriend. In 2023, he got signed by the Saints, which means by the time they started dating and Taylor was midway through her tour with Kam, Travis and Khal were no longer locker room colleagues.

This past Monday was the first time Khalen faced his former team, which served as the perfect Eras x NFL crossover we didn't know we needed. On one side of the stadium, Taylor joined Travis' family and friends at the suite to cheer on her tight-end boyfriend, while on the other one, Kam was on the sidelines with their mom cheering on his younger brother.

Khalen played football at Western Illinois University, where he became known for his athleticism and strength, essential skills for a successful defensive lineman. Despite his tall and muscular build, he has impressed everyone with his backflip move, proving Kam isn't the only one with the skips and dips.

Kam is a successful dancer with an impressive career dating from before he was our Eras Tour obsession. Kam graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and has been a distinguished choreographer and a main dancer in "The Color Purple" and "Spirited" musical films. Nowadays, Kam shines next to Taylor all throughout the show. Kam has become an unmissable part of the night, from his iconic deliveries of the "We are never getting back together" punch lines to shimmering through the "Bejeweled" performance.

Although Khalen admitted Kam was going to be rooting for him because "she's his boss, I'm his brother, I was here first," the two dear friends caught up after the game, proving there was no bad blood between them.

A final fun fact that serves as a cute bow to tie all these invisible strings together is that Travis has now performed with both of the Saunders after stepping up to the Eras Tour stage over the summer. He became a part of Taylor's opening scene for "I can do it with a broken heart" alongside Kam and Jan Razik. Long live the sports-ish crossovers!
