Touchdown Threads: NFL Week One Fashion Recap

September is the biggest month in fashion, and it extends to sports, particularly with the new NFL season kicking off this month. The best players in the league have expressed their style in the best ways on and off the field.

Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Justin Jefferson walked the runway at the Vogue World: Paris show over the summer alongside Joe Burrow, so he has already made his mark on the fashion world.

Before his season opener against the New York Giants at Metlife Stadium, he wore a camo-print matching set from the spring 2025 Off-White collection. It was even more fitting because it was on the same day as Off-White's spring 2025 fashion show in New York City. He accessorized with a Chrome Hearts belt and Oakley sunglasses. Jefferson has previously said how important fashion is to him, and he lives by the "look good, play good" mentality.

Taylor Swift, known as the ultimate WAG, returned to the NFL to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. She was seen wearing a Versace double denim outfit paired with thigh-high red Giuseppe Zanotti boots, which perfectly represented the colors of the Kansas City Chiefs. As she confidently walked through Arrowhead Stadium, previously sold out twice during her Eras Tour last summer, it was a sign to all the dads, Brads, and Chads that she was back and more confident than ever. It's worth mentioning her impeccable hair and makeup. If Taylor is reading this, we'd like to request the lip color details.

George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers debuted custom Air Jordan cleats designed by The Shoe Surgeon. They were designed to look like the retro Union LA x Air Jordan 1 "Black Toe" pair, except his now says TSS/LA instead.

Keep an eye out for Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in the next few weeks when it comes to fashion. The Cleveland Browns linebacker was named the Most Stylish Player at the 2024 NFL Honors because he consistently chose outfits with traditional Ghanaian influences. Recently, he sported orange and brown, the team colors of Cleveland.

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback of the New York Jets, took a more casual approach. He wore a laid-back bomber jacket, overall black, and accessorized with wired headphones, but his aura was unmatched. The sunglasses and baseball cap helped give off the impression that he was focused on the game ahead, although the Jets suffered a loss against the 49ers.
