Dancing with Our Favorite Athletes

Get ready to dance! The highly anticipated cast for the upcoming 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars has been officially unveiled. The popular dancing reality competition, set to premiere on September 17th on ABC and Disney Plus, is gearing up for another thrilling season. As always, the show's lineup includes several well-known athletes. Expectations were high this week, with fans eager to see who would grace the dance floor.

Joey Graziadei

Before becoming a household name on the popular dating show The Bachelor, Joey Graziadei was known for his skills on the tennis court. His journey in the spotlight traces back to his high school days when he first picked up a racket, and that passion carried him through college and beyond. Following his graduation from West Chester University, Graziadei moved to Hawaii, where he made a name for himself as the head tennis professional at several esteemed golf clubs.

After winning hearts in the latest season of The Bachelor, Graziadei has exchanged his rose for dancing shoes, teaming up with Jenna Johnson as his partner.

Stephen Nedoroscik

American gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik became an instant sensation at the 2024 Paris Olympics, capturing the hearts of many with his remarkable performance. Nicknamed the "Pommel Horse Guy" by the online community, Nedoroscik was the first of this year's cast to be announced. The spotlight follows Nedoroscik as he embarks on a new venture, joining Rylee Arnold for her second season as a pro.

We can't wait to see him take on the challenge of mastering the foxtrot or tango. Maybe they'll even bring out a Pommel Horse as part of his new dance routine.

Danny Amendola

Former NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola is making a surprising move from the football field to the dance floor in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. After a 13-season career in the NFL and two Super Bowl victories, Amendola is trading in his cleats for a fresh new pair of dance shoes. After retiring in 2022, Amendola briefly returned to the NFL as a coach before making this unexpected career pivot. The former footballer star is no stranger to reality competitions either, having competed in the second season of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. The Super Bowl champion is set to take on a new challenge alongside his partner, Witney Carson, as they vie for the Mirrorball trophy.

Dwight Howard

Basketball player Dwight Howard was announced to be joining the 33rd season of "Dancing with the Stars", partnering with Daniella Karagach. Howard currently plays basketball overseas in Taiwan, but he is most known for his career in the NBA, where he was known for jumping from team to team, most notably his three different stints with the Lakers. Fans can't wait to see how the basketball star will perform in the dancing competition.

Ilona Maher

Medal-winning rugby player Ilona Maher, who recently graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, is joining the lineup for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. The 2024 Paris Olympics bronze medalist, known for her powerhouse performances on the rugby field, has been making waves for her athletic achievements and advocacy for body positivity. Paired with dance pro Alan Bersten, Maher's transition from the rugby field to the dance floor is something we are all looking forward to.
